We’ll be on the 8100 block of Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia on Sunday for the annual Chestnut Hill Book Festival.  The event is from noon to 4, and Dan and I will be there for most of it, signing copies of Tasting Freedom.  Stop by. Bring us a cold beer.

This broadside is eight feet high and was seen on windows in downtown Philadelphia in June, 1863, as black leaders called a meeting to convince black men to join the Union Army prior to Gettysburg.
