Our first 2013 Black History Month event will be at the Pratt Student Center at Wilmington University in New Castle, Del. We’ve been invited by the University’s Library, the College of Arts and Sciences and the Student Life Departments. After a talk, and a question and answer session, books will be available for sale and signing.

This broadside is eight feet high and was seen on windows in downtown Philadelphia in June, 1863, as black leaders called a meeting to convince black men to join the Union Army prior to Gettysburg.
