Capitol BookFest in Harrisburg at the State Museum of Pennsylvania.

This free opportunity to meet dozens of authors, including Dan (Murray cannot attend because of the Jewish holiday), includes panel discussions, readings and book signings. The event is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Dan is scheduled to appear from 3:20 to 4:10 p.m., in “Civil War Panel 2: Equality In Civil War America.”

This broadside is eight feet high and was seen on windows in downtown Philadelphia in June, 1863, as black leaders called a meeting to convince black men to join the Union Army prior to Gettysburg.
